In the mean time, over in Gruene, Charlie Robison takes the stage at Gruene Hall on May 9th, at 9PM - tickets are $22, and this show will be well worth it - If you are unfamiliar with Charlie, this artist easily holds his own in the Texas Music scene - his video "My Hometown" was recently featured on cable's Great American Country channel.

On May 17th, Gruene Hall plays host to the Americana Music Jam featuring a literal Who's Who of modern Texas & Americanna Music including: the legendary Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jason Boland, Stoney LaRue, Micky & the Motorcars, Slaid Cleaves, Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros, Seth James, Cody Canada, Big House, Tom Gillam & Tractor Pull, Sean McConnell, Zack Walther & the Cronkites, Kevin Welch and the Reckless Kelly band among others. Rep. Schakowsky (D-Ill.) says our "tea party" protests are "despicable" and shameful" and are misleading the public about the Obama plan:
